Today, it's my 18th birthday. My parents got me a $5 gift certificate to iTunes. It came for free with the iPhone they just bought my sister for her middle school graduation. FML

Story of my life. Little sisters get whatever they want.

i havent read all these comments someone might have said this, BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE! hahahha WHO BELIEVES THIS ONE??? LOL PEOPLE. ITS JUST FALSE!

Did you think that maybe your parents are hitting a bad time with the economy right now? Maybe they were just too embarrassed to tell you that things got bad after your sister graduated so they gave you the certificate because they at least wanted you to have something. I might be wrong but this is a possibility that you should think about before you get angry. If that is not the case, I'd talk to them. Try not to sound money grubbing. Make it clear that they hurt your feelings but try not to get accusatory. If it does turn out that your little sis is the golden child, use your parents for the tax info and such for college and the health insurance until you get out of school and just think of them as providers, not parents. Best of luck

dude, i can so relate. three younger siblings, and i have to get everything for myself. i actually bought my own iphone, when my parents have bought my siblings everything from bikes to game systems. i dont have either.

WHOA. ******. Up. I graduated middle school last year, and I asked my parents not to get me anything because it was no big deal. It would take an effing retard to NOT be able to graduate middle school (no offense to anyone who would be offended by that), and I told them to save the good gifts for like my eighteenth birthday or something. T_T Obviously, that's not the case, here. Unless you're parents have a MAJOR case of favoritism for your sister, then they probably bought you something more than four songs for your iPod... it'll come eventually. And if not, what bitches! You're legally an adult now, though, so you can disown them! XD And number #158... whoa. What the ****, that is creepy!

One year, my friend's brother got a Best Buy gift card for Xmas from his uncle...my friend got a gift card to McDonalds.

People ACTUALLY feel sorry for her sister because she didn't get to use the iTunes card? What a joke. I feel for you. I didn't get -ANYTHING- from my dad and his girlfriend on my 18th or 19th birthdays, and back in November, they threw a party for my cousin who was turning 19. They gave her a check for $150.

Also, anyone who thinks this story is fake is out of touch with reality (or probably was the favorite child and got everything.)
