It's true it could be worse, but you're trying to think of the other person when you buy them a gift. I'm not sure I know anyone who would appreciate this. It would be better to tell her sometime when they're alone - still sucky, but at least there's no chance of having other people around (say if she's opening gifts with people watching). Now to indicate she's too smelly on her birthday? That's kind of rude, unless it's a joke gift.

If you need it, you kind of deserve it for not realizing you actually smell. This happening still sucks, especially on your birthday, but you should be able to notice it when you smell.

You have a better boyfriend than you think. I mean, your birthday and that gift was the wrong way to express it, but at least he let you know rather than breaking up with you because you stink.

YDI for smelling like a sweaty fat guy

Hey today's my birthday too! My boyfriend got me a new hair straightener and some jewelery. :D

It is kind of harsh of him to give it to you on your birthday - a day that is obviously meant to celebrate your existence. Clearly, he is not the brightest crayon in the box but it is better than him breaking up with you because you have a strong body odour or making it public. That being said, if you do sweat a lot, use the deodorant ;)
