Thats kind of rude. Even if you don't like a present act pleased with it and then later talk to the gift giver about it and either let them save their money or exchange it for something they do like. It'll still hurt their feelings but in the end they are getting something they'd appreciate more etc.

I was always taught you thank someone and pretend you like a gift even if it's something you hate because they at least cared enough to get you something that's something to be thankful for alone sorry your brother did that OP
