When people are drunk they say all kinds of stupid stuff, they don't always mean it, just talk it out with him, I'm sure everything will be fine
Keep on dreaming.
she's definitely the optimist
I imagined 12's voice cracking while twitching uncontrollably when I read this comment.
I instantly thought about the teenage guy that works in McDonalds in The Simpsons.
That is a good thing then .... Right !
Well at least you found out earlier then later...
20, spend a night on the piss with me. I usually talk a lot of shit that is either blatantly untrue, or not in a recognisable language.
yet another reason why you shouldn't be getting married so young
They might not be getting married soon either. I got engaged at 22 but we didn't marry until I was almost 24 because we were both in school and couldn't afford a wedding at the time.
Because as everyone knows, if you get married at 30 there are no fights or disagreements, ever. True story!
To be fair to him everyone has the 'one that got away' no matter what age you are. The grass always seems greener on the other side.
I disagree with this. I can't say anything as for my husband because I don't read minds, but he's never talked about an ex like they were "the one who got away", and I certainly have never thought about any of my ex's like that.
You really only think that when you're still in love with the person. If you've truly gotten over them or fallen in love with someone else, the whole 'the one that got away' idea seems ridiculous. If you truly love the person you're with, you won't even care about any of your exes.
Because they can and probably love each other? Calm down. Studies are studies, they still have a chance.
I don't think that drunken words are always sober thoughts. I mean a guy I knew used to say drunk that he killed people, please. I hear drunk people talking a lot of shit that don't make sense. However when it comes to feelings, I would tend to think that it is very likely he does miss her. Anyway, how come you 2 are engaged so young? You can't have known each other for that long if he dumped his last girlfriend at 17.
That isn't necessarily true. I've known my gf for a while, we both were in relationships with other people between befriending each other and when we started going out.
#36, assuming no cheating, they could have been dating for four years. They could have known each other for much longer. I'm thinking that two years from first date to wedding is about the minimum. Yeah, I agree that 21 is young, but some who get married that young beat the odds. I really think there needs to be a separate word for "fiancé with a wedding date set" to distinguish it from a "boyfriend that I plan to eventually marry." Things get a lot more real once some non-refundable deposits are plunked down.

A drunken man's words are a sober man's thoughts. Just move on...
