FYL. You don't get fired outright from a managerial position for being late once, even if it is day one. A disciplinary maybe, but not fired. You shouldn't have even been demoted.

I love how so many people hit YDI without thinking stuff like "Was he fired for being late once?" or "Why was he late? Was there a traffic jam? Did his alarm clock fail? Was there an accident on the road?" or stuff like that. FYL.
