Today, it was my next-door neighbor's birthday. Over the past year, his pitbull has attacked my stepdad several times and put some stiches on me. Lucky for us, the dog was finally put down. For his birthday my neighbor got a new, bigger, pitbull. FML

this is bullshit. pits are amazing dogs, maybe its the owner whos the dumbass and raising them to be aggressive. its basically like raising a kid, teach them to rape and murder and 9 times out of 10 they'll grow up with the mindset that its ok. its people who dont understand this that give pits a bad rep, and another reason that theyre nearly outlawed.

I have a Pit-bull, Cane Corso Mastiff, Rottweiler, German Shepard mix dog that was taken away from a puppy mill the bred fighting dogs and gassed the non violent ones for kids to cut open at high schools. Mine was from the fighting group. Even this 'vicious sounding" dog it is the soft most cuddly over-sized "It weighs ~140ish" lap dog. He never bites and you can even take his food away while he is eating and he wont attack( and to anyone say that's cruel, i give it back and it is an approved and used test by the ASPCA). Just because a dog fits in to a stereotype doesn't mean anything. Saying all pit bulls are evil killing machines is the same bigamy as saying all black people steal and are fast, that Russians drink vodka, all Asians are good at math, and other BS like that. It is a living creature and responses to its environment. You give it love it gives you and others love, if you beat it it will become vicious. If i put you in a small cage and beat you with a bat or golf club daily, i bet you would become violent.

yeah right...this is such a stereotype, pitbulls are really sweet and only mean when trained to be by their owners, I am a dog foster abd I have fostered HUNDREDS of pitbulls and never so much as been bitten by one, but I've been bit at least 30 times by small dogs and even my beagle.

One bite and you can sue the owner for physical and psychological damages, i read the average settlement is 35,000 so if this dog bit you guys several times... So yup: YDI both for thinking all fogs are evil and for not pursuiing proper compensation. (also for making up a fml but that's a different matter)

There's nothing wrong with pitbulls, it's how the owner treats them. So hopefully this one will be better.
