Today, I asked my fiancé if we could get legally married at the courthouse before we had the big wedding ceremony, just to quell my irrational fear of being left at the altar. He agreed, then didn’t show up at the courthouse. Nightmare realized. FML

Everyone assumes the worst here: 1. He could have been still passed out from the party the night before and unable to make it. 2. Her fiance could have been in a horrible accident and unable to make it to the wedding. 3. OR everyone could be right and she was stood up at the alter.
