Today, it was our 6 month anniversary. My boyfriend didn’t get me a present or take me out to dinner. Instead he cried to me about how much he hates his life while he repeatedly punched himself in the face. Then he dropped me off to spend time with his mom. FML

Ok, yes I am a teenager. The reason I was so upset over him not doing anything for our 6 months together was because he made sure I got him a present, and told me a bunch of times that he was planning something fun. So he got my hopes up for nothing. Then when I got sad about it, he got mad at me and pretty much ignored me.

Way to be a whiny *****, OP. FHL, seriously. I mean, how DARE your boyfriend have an emotional breakdown on your six month 'anniversary'! If you were even a halfway decent person you would have been more concerned for his obviously messed up state of mental health. Here's a tip for you, since you sound and act like you're a spoiled 13 year old. A relationship means you ought to be there to support and care for one another, something you obviously aren't too concerned with. Sounds like you two shouldn't be celebrating your relationship, since it's a pretty poor one if you're more concerned with presents and dinner than his health and happiness.

i would get out of this relationship, i had a boyfriend of over a year like this, i tried to help him honestly did, but it wasn't healthy i would talk to him, but he has to do something about his problems.

Hahha, on my six month anniversary with my boyfriend he decided to sleep (therefore not acknowledging the whole anniversary thing) and then not call me for a week. Thus, he is no longer my boyfriend.
