Today, it was the second anniversary of the day I met my girlfriend. I had to go to work, but I set an engagement ring and a letter on my pillow for when she woke up, and left breakfast for her on the counter. When I got home, she and all of her things were gone. FML

Today, I got home early from work at 2am to find my girlfriend of 5 years missing. Upon further inspection, I caught the "other man" dropping her off out front. So much for the engagement ring I bought for her. FML

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend while we were on my couch having a romantic moment. She seemed incredibly excited when she saw the ring and put it on. The way she bolted out the door tells me I'm not going to see her again. FML

Today, I was sleeping in after working a graveyard shift. I awoke to my girlfriend sneaking her stuff out of the house. She planned on leaving her key on my pillow and taking off without any notice whatsoever. FML

Today, I woke up to a note on my nightstand from my fiancée, along with the ring I proposed to her with yesterday, which stated that not only was she not ready to be married, but she’d been planning to end things before I “blindsided" her. FML

I don't know why I'm really curious if she ate the breakfast or not. Also, I would never suggest proposing to someone NOT in person, especially if you live together. Proposing should be discussed beforehand. My fiance wasn't 100% sure I'd say yes, but my fiance knows I'm a private person and not into big gestures so he took me to a small beautiful park and proposed when we had a moment alone. It made the moment even more special because he thought about what I would like and considered my feelings. Afterwards, I asked if he considered proposing another way, he said he almost took me to a ball game or a restaurant, but knew I wouldn't want all those eyes on us.
