Today, me and my girlfriend got into a fight. After giving my genius response to one of her asinine comments, I stormed out of the store, having the last word. Ten minutes later she comes out to find me in the parking lot. My car wouldn't start. She texts me "Karma's a bitch" then drives away. FML

Just want to point out, OP, you said "the store" not "public" so when people are thinking you meant grocery store, that's why. It is common across most of the country for people to say, "I'm heading to the store, can I get you something?" or "I'm going to the store to pick up a few things" and everyone knows this means grocery store or something like a Wal-Mart which carries groceries. Just sayin'.

It's funny how many people have seen through this FML and have voted you deserved it, I think the word asinine cinched it for ya. If you don't explain the retorts, like everyone else does on here, people know you're faking it and that you were the ass.

Sorry didn't realise you were young. I take it back. Here's some advice though... It doesn't really matter who is better at retorts, you're not supposed to think of your girlfriend as a bitch. If you think she's stupid, she's a bad girlfriend and she's a bitch - I think you should nicely break up with her so you can both move on. Also good on you for being out in school. That kinda thing just didn't happen 10 years ago, we all had to suffer till we graduated.
