Today, me and my girlfriend went to the club. The song "Single Ladies" by Beyonce came on; the DJ came on the mic and said "Single ladies raise your hands!" My girlfriend raised her hand. FML

If you two are not married, then technically, she IS single. And if you don't want her to be single, then you ought to put a ring on it!

As long as she doesn't try to kiss another boy (or boyS) you're quite safe.. It's just a song

While I understand the views of some of the fellow comments, you guys have to understand that the DJ asked that for a reason. So that the guys in the club LOOKING for single ladies would know who to approach. Once his girlfriend lifted that hand up, she was basically giving them the ok to flirt with her. Would YOU feel comfortable if your significant other gave the go ahead for people to hit on her?

paranoia... its not a meat market.

Women are meat according to every-*******-one else, remember?

Well duh she raised her hand, she IS single. The whole point of the song is to 'put a ring on her finger', to be married. You are obviously not married and thus both single.

She's not married = She's single. Deal with it. Also, just because someone asks her to dance doesn't mean she's going to accept. Sounds like a paranoia/trust issue to me, so yeah. FYL, until you get that in check. #11 ~ You're psychic now? Or, all DJs ask for the same reason?

I never said I agreed with the FML, I was just asking all of you a question from his point of view....

Hmm I was thinking of the validity of this... You went to "the club" is there only 1? ha ha

I disagree heavily with those who say that if you're not married, you're single. This is messed up. Marriage is a waste of money and a trap for the man. You can be boyfriend and girlfriend without being married, and most certainly can be exclusive.

Trap for the man? And here I thought it was about love. Go **** yourself-- women and men are the same and marriage doesn't change much. Despite the legal consequences(I wish it was the same for men and women, but alas **** the world), it isn't a 'trap' or anything of the like.

Don't get on her too hard, she was probably in "the moment" and didn't realize what she just did. Even if she did, she was just having fun. Now excuse me while I do my Beyonce dance- Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Lmao I just sang the song to figure out if you had the tight number of oh's. OCD probs, am I right?

boo you, she was probably just cheering to be cheering like everyone else and thought it'd defeat the purpose to be a taken lady and love the song!

It's a ******* song. It's not like she's cheating on you. @18, the song sucks. It's generic pop shit and you should be ashamed for loving it. You don't have to hate it, but it's nothing special - in 2 years, everybody will have forgotten it.

Not true, it's been two years, people are still obnoxious ._.

More than 4 years and Single Ladies is big. Heh.
