Today, my 26th birthday party got busted by my parents due to them coming home early because of a flight cancellation. Everyone had to leave, but not before my mother made me go to my room. FML

I'm confused. Were you supposed to be watching their house while they were away or do you still live at home? If you were house sitting, then they have every right to be angry. You can't use other people's property as an entertainment venue without their permission. If you still live with them, they have every right to be angry. Why are you still living at home? Perhaps you should be getting your shit together and living as a grown man with his own home instead of getting smashed with your buddies.

I'm pretty sure from the context of the story that he was still LIVING there with his parents. If he was just housesitting, how could he get sent to his *room*? He would have just home to his own place if his parents were that pissed. So yeah... he's 26 and lives with his parents and still gets sent to his room for punishment. SAD.

I know a lot of people who are moving back home due to job losses and budget cuts. I lost job and had to move back home to pay off debt. It sucks, but what are you supposed to do when shit like this happens.
