Yowwwwch :( That sounds painful. But, think about it this way: You're a mother with a lip ring :] That makes you awesome enough that you could pull off anything, including facial wounds.
buh dum chhh
Have you shown your husband the new huge, gaping hole in your face? Methinks he might find a use for it...
I'm solely responsible for forcing my mother to forego the hoop earrings she loved for several years. Apparently I never managed to rip one out of her ear, but attempted to grab them enough that she didn't want to risk it. Agreed with the person that said lip piercings are trashy, but eh I'm a purist and find a lot of stuff trashy anyway.
ydi for having a stupid piercing.
Well, as someone who has two lip rings and four nieces and nephews who are all fascinated by them, I can say that a 5 month old really doesn't have the strength to pull the ring so hard as to create a "huge gaping hole." Unless the OP dropped her baby when he pulled back, it wouldn't gauge out that fast. I can sit here and pull my bottom lip out by a ring pretty far, and the holes don't budge.
Unless the huge gaping hole wasn't a guages hole but a rip that didn't go so far. Exaguration(sp?) is my second guess.
YDI for being a mother with a frakin' lip ring! I mean................ really?
a lip ring? The child has taste and was trying to tell you to get rid of it!!!!
YDI for keeping a piercing in when you have a small child. My godson's mother learned very early on to take out her piercings and tie her hair back, or else her son would grab and pull. Most mothers (hell, most PEOPLE) know that babies like to grab what they see so that they can identify it. Common sense, OP. Use it.

Ummm, anyone with kids knows that jewlery and kids don't mix well...
YDI for letting him touch it.
