Today, my 5 month old son decided that my lip ring was a toy. Thinking it would be ok, I let him touch it. He got his finger caught and pulled his hand back. The lip ring is still in, but now I have a huge gaping hole in my face. FML

Today, I was adjusting my nose piercing from the inside. My mother saw and thought I was picking my nose, so she slapped my hand away, tearing my nose ring out in the process. FML

Today, I had a spur of the moment idea to go have my nose pierced. The piercer made sure to tell me how easily the little stud could get caught or hung up. I spent all day stressing over it only to scratch my nose and rip it out. Now I have a $40 bleeding hole in my nose. FML

Today, my 2 year-old had a large booger blocking his nose so I pulled it out. I was on the phone and absentmindedly rolling it around between my thumb and pointer finger. I put it in my mouth and crushed it between my teeth for a solid minute before I remembered what it was. FML

Today, while undergoing the cumbersome task of screwing the tiny silver ball onto my lip piercing, I clumsily dropped it onto the counter and watched it bounce into the trash can, where it nestled snugly into a used maxi pad. FML

Got to agree with the others: YDI for having a lip ring. Having any piece of metal (or bone, who knows?) sticking out of you runs the risk of a serious wound. When it is medical (IV drip, colostomy bag), you do not have much choice in the matter. Why anyone would do this voluntarily is beyond me. Either way, you ran the risk, and now you suffer the consequences.

You know, wearing rings is pretty stupid. It's a known fact. Take this guy I used to know for example - he had two nipple rings and wore a chain between them. One day, he got in a bar fight. You want to know what happened? ... Isn't it obvious!? ... *RIP!!!!!!* Have fun in the ER, dummy.
