Today, my AP teacher once again accused me of plagiarism. Apparently the words "demise," "ultimately," and "rural," are too sophisticated for an 11th grade AP student to use and MUST have been copied from the Internet. FML

Today, my teacher called a friend and me out of class and told us we had been reported for plagiarism because our answers to a problem were nearly identical, and he said that I shouldn't have shared my work. This for an assignment where significant marks were awarded for collaborating with peers. FML

Today, I got yelled at for 10 minutes by my head of department for failing one of my students for plagiarism, because, "we can't be sure." It was my work he plagiarised, but because it's not in our system, it doesn't count. FML

Today, I got a paper back that was given a zero for suspected plagiarism. Everything I wrote was my own thought and analysis. My instructor basically thinks my paper is smarter than I am. He won't listen, even when I explain my thought processes throughout the piece. FML

happened to me in 6th grade. I got a zero and had to dumb down my paper for my English teacher who wrote on the paper "this papper is too good". English was not her first language.

The same thing happened to me with an English teacher. She circled all these words on my paper and made me define them to her. I was so mad I went to the Dean of English, who reprimanded her while I stood their and smiled!

Report the teacher to the principal. Inform the Principal that this has happened many times. That you want the teacher to apologize, and put the apology in writing. Tell the Principal that if you are accused again, or don't get the apology in writing, your parents will sue. You might not get anywhere, but the teacher will get a lot of heat for it.
