No, it isn't - that word is thrown around far too easily now. Misogyny is the hatred of women, just because the guy is being a douche does not mean he hates women. Tossing that word out at the drop of a hat is actually more misandrist than him being misogynist.

It's called a cycle because it follows the same pattern of action every time until it stops. Menstral cycles aren't necessarily regular, nor are they necessarily had only once a month. Some people have a solid three weeks of bleeding, with one week of no bleeding, then another two of bleeding, then can go four months without bleeding. Believe it or not people who are having their period don't suddenly cease being able to function unless they have a disorder linked to it, in which case they may be somewhat impaired. People don't walk around giving off "currently oozing blood and dead tissue through my genitals" signals when they are on the menstral cycle anymore than someone with a uterus being angry, sad, or otherwise upset means they are currently on their period.
