it depends what kind of work you do, knowing that workers at pizza hut and plaid pantry get $25 bonuses and you don't, makes me say FYL
Christmas boni aren't mandatory.
At least you got a mug, I won't even get that from my boss. No Christmas bonus for me.
It is time for your crazy brother in law to kidnap him and bring him to your house so you can confront him in front of your whole family. He will then relent and give you the bonus because you've paid the non-refundable deposit on the pool already.
It's better than nothing...maybe you can get something out of it...
I work at a restaurant and my boss gave added an extra $20 to my check. I honestly really appreciated it. It's the thought that counts. I really wasn't expecting anything.
I agree, that's a sorry excuse for Christmas bonus, however you should count yourself lucky you got anything at all. I have a friend who got an envelope from her boss and thought it was a bonus and turned out it was a layoff notice. FHL
What did you get him? It's not like he has to give out bonuses...
We don't get Christmas bonuses. My husband's company offers a secret Santa thing, but that's employees buying for other employees. The company doesn't do anything. Worse, the pay is so low that no one can afford to participate in Secret Santa.
How ungrateful of you. Be thankful you got anything. So many employees just wish their boss would just acknowledge them at all, let alone in public. And be happy you got anything at all that could be considered a bonus. There are millions of people out there that would consider just having a regular paycheck a bonus. Spoiled brat. Just because Thanksgiving is over doesn't mean it's okay to be selfish again.

At least you got that. Bonuses aren't guaranteed, and some bosses don't recognize their employees' hard work.
I'm sorry OP he might be like Scrooge, damaged at a young age. :/ Anyways, Merry Christmas! :)
