Talk to your HR department. That's very illegal.
So, unless you haven't been there for more than three months, I'm pretty sure you can start some kind of wrongful dismissal claim up. Go over his head and get some kind of severance pay / or your job back. A lot of states, provinces, etc. have labor laws that protect the employee to at least some degree.
Why would they want their job back after that? Don't you think the boss would make their job miserable just for the fun of it... No thanks.... Move on :p
