I would have to say YDI on this one. While yes maybe firing you was a bit extreme at work your job is to be professional. When you are at work your father can not just be "dad' he is your boss and needs to be treated as such. He also needs to be treating you as he does any other person there. Also it can be very uncomfortable for others and make them get worried about you possibly getting special treatment at the work place when they see you going around hugging the boss because he is your father. Save the affectionate for off the clock.
