Today, my boss yelled at me for being 3 hours late. I was late because I fell down the stairs and broke my arm. Apparently, breaking my arm is not a good enough excuse. FML

Break his arm and when he doesn't come the next day, call him and ask him why he couldn't come. Proceed to tell him that breaking his arm isn't a excuse for not coming to work

This is what I'm wondering. If you haven't worked there for more than a couple months/don't know your boss well/don't have rare skills you should expect to be fired if you pull a no call/no shoe. It is your responsibility to inform your employer you won't be there. It is their responsibility to staff it while you're gone (if necessary).

Why didn't you just call out due to medical emergency? I'm sure breaking your arm falls in there. Aside from getting yelled at, I hope he didn't penalize you.
