Today, my boss yelled at me for being 3 hours late. I was late because I fell down the stairs and broke my arm. Apparently, breaking my arm is not a good enough excuse. FML

did you call in? if you didn't call and just went to the er that's on you. you can't go well I'm hurt so nothing else matters. of course you will still go to the er but you have to tell people that are depending on you where you are at of you are going to be late.

How do you all know that the OP didn't call in and tell the boss? "Well, duh, they didn't! Otherwise the boss wouldn't be mad!" Or maybe the boss would be mad either way.

tell him to go **** yourself and quit after youve found another place to work

There are these magical devices everywhere that allow you to contact anyone in the world (including your boss) with a few magical button pushes. The best part? They can help you not get yelled at by your boss.

And can you tell me how you know they didn't call their boss? I mean, for all we know, the boss is a jerk and would yell at OP either way. Some bosses are like that. "Broken your arms?! Too bad! Get into work RIGHT NOW!" Some bosses are just simply bad.

Hope you get better soon OP

Well, watch where you're walking next time. And did you ask how he'd like a broken arm? I mean seriously, come on people. No matter how clumsy you are, you broke your arm. What did he want you to do? Have a limp arm all day? Jeezus.

Did you call? If you gave your employer a ring and let then know and he reacted this way, he's a ****.. but... if you didn't take the time to let them know, then that's what happens.
