Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick our son up from daycare. His excuse? Fighting in a battle in World of Warcraft was far more important and he had to stay absolutely focused. Our son had to wait for two hours. FML

My mom (who I no longer see thank god) forgot my sister and me at elementary school for 3 hours one day and it was one of scariest times of my life. Luckily my dad saw us waiting outside while driving by (my parents are divorced) and picked us up and took us to his house.. Thankfully he was at daycare and not just waiting outside. Sorry to hear about this! So sad. Kids are always #1 priority!

Definitely BOYfriend, not "man-friend". anything and everything takes priority over real life responsibilities for these sorts of people. Plenty of gamers can schedule their game time around life (rather than the other way around). And who the F raids in the afternoon??? clearly a bunch of unemployed bums who have nothing better do to during the day. If you need the internet, then just change the settings so Blizzard is not allowed past your firewall. or... find another friend who plays and then report the boyfriend's account for being a gold farmer or fake account and let him try to save his account after that.

A child is a lifetime responsibility that I'm guessing he had 9 months to prepare for. Nothing is more important than your child to a real parent. Choosing a game over his child is unforgivable and to suggest she check his fantasy schedule before appointing him real life responsibility is very immature.

This is probably the stupidest comment I've ever seen, I hope you NEVER have children yourself. This is HIS CHILD - his well being takes priority over any stupid video game, and that's coming from someone that does progression raiding in Warcraft. NOTHING in warcraft ever takes precedence over any of my family members, and no one should ever have to 'plan things around what's going on in game", and if it was such a big deal he should have mentioned it before to his girlfriend. There is literally nothing in that game more important than a child.

People don't respect gammers. I work full time, study, take care of family and still people will blame you for playing "stupid game" and how un-responsible human being I am. Now I just play on my weekends and after everyone is sleep, so no sudden "on purpose" things which require me to leave or quit happens.

I play quite a lot of video games, including World of Warcraft. I also have a daughter. There's nothing wrong with playing games if you're a parent, but this guy definitely has a problem. There's no way I would ever forget my kids just because of a game.
