Today, my boyfriend gave me a card for my birthday and told me to open it 10 minutes after he'd gone; I waited for 5. In the card was written, "It's not working out, but here's $20." FML

They have a new hallmark card. It has a timer so that boyfriends can set it in two modes. Basically if you had waited 10 minutes, the card would have expressed how much he loved you and all. But since you opened it 5 minutes earlier, it was programmed to "dump" mode and deposit 20 dollars. :) :) I kid of course. That sucks though what happened. You should use that 20 dollars to buy him a card and leave 10 bucks for him.

That's horrible and reminicent of paying a *****. Though I doubt he's smart enough to equate that. I'd seriously screw with his head. 19 has a great idea. Also, oreo cookie filling kills baint jobs too, oddly.... Just an idea. and my apologies.

How exactly would that make someone feel like a ***** ? I really don't get it. It's not like they just had sex and he pulled out the 20. So if he didn't have the intention to break up and gave her a 20 for her birthday, would that be different ? Just because he broke up with her all of a sudden it would make the girl feel like a *****. Sheesh, talk about double standards. And for that matter, what do you call a girl who goes out with guys with no intention to actually date the guy but to just get a meal and a movie ? Or girls who want guys to buy them nice and expensive things and supposedly love them afterwards ? So basically, it boils down to the fact that all girls are ****** in one way or another. Interesting theory.

I agree with 28....sad sad sad....sounds like a total prick...Well, I went out with a guy friend on V-day and happy to say, I wasn't dumped because I wasn't dating. Its funny when first reading you FML, but if that happened to me, I would say FML....
