its harmless fun. What is wrong with that? I mean unless he is just going to town sniffing you all over the place. But if its like... sniffing your neck then you're being a lil uptight. Loosen up a lil. Take a whiff, and hope it smells good.

Hate to tell everybody this but some people are more sensitive to certain and/or all scents than others. Or some just appreciate them more. So, OP, I'm assuming he's like that and so he's basically giving you a complement and saying you smell good... Although it could be withheld from the public a bit more.
