Today, my boyfriend of 4 years proposed to me. I said yes and he gave me an engagement ring. He immediately went to call his mom to tell her the happy news. After the phone call, he asked if he could return the ring because his mom needed money. FML

I would dump him if he does stuff like that frequently. I personally would have pawned something other than the ring though,. that would be the last thing I'd return!

The ring isn't important. If it's something serious with his mom, and she needs this money, if you love him it won't matter of the ring is on your finger or not.
