Today, my boyfriend apparently lied to me when he'd said we could get a dog one day. I bought a puppy for him in secret but as soon as he saw it he was all, "What the hell is that? We’re not keeping it." It’s now with his parents, as he didn’t want it overnight or even in the house. FML

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me over the phone, after having left me to look after her dog while she went on a 2-week vacation with her family. Now I have to choose between paying for a kennel for her damn dog or taking care of it every day until she gets back. FML

I think a more interesting question here is 'what did the OP do to piss the mum off enough for her to make a 15year commitment in order to get rid of the OP?'. Or indeed why the mum is such an over-protective bitch... F both your L's. I know it probably sucks being replaced by a dog but I'm pretty sure that the majority of people who have had a dog would have probably made the same decision, I know I would.

Im not sure who you're responding to but it never says the dog was helpless. For all we know he could have gone out and picked up the dog today after he made his choice to have a dog.
