Today, my boyfriend of three months told me that he had cheated on me two months ago with my best friend. I decided to give him a second chance. About twenty minutes later, he then broke up with me for not wanting to watch football. Apparently I don't care about his feelings. FML

YDI, he told you about the cheating because he didn't want to be with you but he didn't want to be the one to end the relationship. You should have had some respect for yourself, were you not brought up to know that once someone's cheated, they will always do it again if given the chance? He can't possibly have had any love for you if he slept with anyone else.

he should have worked towards getting a second chance not you handing it to him on a platter! for all we know he already wanted to break up and thought that after hearing this you were strong enough to do it. now he broke up with you instead of you dumping him!
