Unless you think he is actually joking, and he is actually more considerate most of the time, I'd say no. If that is standard behavior, it won't change. Posting here makes it seem like you expect more from a potential spouse, so cut your losses and go find someone who is a bit closer to what you want.

Life would be so easier if society wouldn't tell us that the main goal of life is marriage and having children. If you don't want to get married just don't. If you want to get married, find someone who wants to marry you, too, and do it. If your expectations do not match then either compromise somehow or split up. The compromise of course not being "getting over with this dumb shit".
