Today, my boyfriend told me how he used to collect little things when he was younger. He then decided to tell me about his current big toe nail collection. FML

maybe he collects nails over periods of time to show their growth which shows his growth. also nails aren't slimy or anything and they can be disinfected easily so I think it's fine unless they're somebody elses. Thats just creepy

Well.... that is odd to say the least. Maybe he is just a collector. Some people actually have a compulsion to collect and actually need professional help with it. Chances are if he's collection toe nails, and he has always collected things through out life, he may be one of those people. Or maybe you just need to show him something worth collecting. Buy the poor guy some model cars or something that he is interested in that is more reasonable to keep around.
