If you read it again, OP says he hasn't went to see her in a while. Choosing his ex over her is a different story. His ass would've been dumped the minute he told me if he can go spend time with his ex rather than coming to see me. It's different when a boyfriend/girlfriend is spending time with their exs while in a relationship.

I just meant OP should look for someone who wants to spend their free time with them when they haven't seen each other for a bit. Obviously you don't want to be with someone all the time because you'll want time for yourself and your friends.
