Today, I wanted to surprise my wonderful girlfriend. I don't have much money, but I still wanted to show her how special she is. I asked her on a surprise date and got dressed up in the tux we bought for my cousin's wedding last year. Since I just spent a lot on Christmas buying here a matched necklace and earring set (with real diamonds!), I don't have a lot of money, so we went to McDonalds. I hoped that my asking her on a surprise date and getting dressed up would impress her. It didn't. FML.

This is the classic way to get a girl to break up with you. A guy who wants out of a relationship, but doesn't want to be the one to do it (for whatever reason - breaking her heart, upsetting all of her friends, etc.) will make a dick move (take her to McD's when she's all dressed up and expecting something nice) so she gets angry and breaks up with him. This has been done soo many times.

Really? Well damn, I'd think it was hilarious and probably love him all the more. Though I'd like to think my bf could break up with me face to face like a real man if he wanted out. Seriously, if she's going to break up with him for this, then she's a materialistic bitch.
