Today, I woke up early, showered, dressed, and made the 40 minute drive to work, only to discover when I arrived that today was my day off. When I got home my live in boyfriend was gone. I called and he told me he was at the beach, right near my work. FML

Today, I attended my father’s funeral. I have the week off work, and one of my colleagues is using this time to make a play for my job. I’m not supposed to be checking emails, so I can’t call them out on it until I get back, by which time it may be too late. FML

or maybe he has a hard time dealing with his emotions in situations like that. could be a million reasons why he didn't go buy you'll never know until you talk with him OP.

Your boyfriend doesn't sound very supportive OP. I could be wrong though, maybe he just really doesn't like funerals. Hopefully he was supportive and comforting afterwards since he wasn't there at the funeral.

were they close. if so he may be avoiding the subject because he's sad. if not maybe he doesn't care but is human enough to stay away because he knows he shouldn't be with the people who do. or just an ass....
