Today, my girlfriend's dad let me borrow his car for transportation to work because mine got totaled. This car is a complete dump and I've realized he's only letting me use it so it's my fault to fix the broken things on the car. So far, I've had to replace the battery and two popped tires. FML

Today, my fiancée wrecked my car so I had to use my other car to pick her up. Ten minutes after I did, my other car broke down in the middle of the road and I had to get it towed. My insurance covers none of these incidents. FML

Today, I got woken up by my parents telling me I had to go buy a car so they could have transportation. Neither of their cars work, so I was letting them use mine, and then they wrecked it. It needs nearly a thousand bucks in repairs to be drivable again, but since it was my car, I have to replace it now to appease them. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's house so that he could break up with me. I went out to my car to leave only to discover that all of the wheels had been stolen. Even the spare. I had to spend the rest of the day with my ex-boyfriend finding a way to get my car home. FML

Today, I got a text from my dad asking about my car in the shop. I'm trying to show them that I can actually be independent, but now they know that not only will it cost all my savings account to fix it, but also that my boyfriend will be driving me to work for the next month while the shop waits for the parts. Insurance? If your boyfriend is driving uninsured or the car is uninsured then YDI. Otherwise there's no need to "work" to fix/get the car's money

Your boyfriend wrecked the car & now YOU can't get to work to earn the $ to buy a new one??? What's he do for a living, sponge of you like you're his mama? Make him work his a$$ off to replace the car...he's the one who wrecked it, but it's a total YDI if neither of you had the brains to have insurance on the car...oh, & don't let him ever drive the new one.

I know the feeling. My car blew up out of nowhere. Thankfully, I'm able to borrow my uncle's car because I'd have no way out to work. Living over 30 miles out sucks ass.

Your boyfriend wrecked your car... How is he helping with this? It's unfair that he's leaving you stranded. If he has a vehicle, he should let you borrow his to get to work. And if he doesn't, he should pitch in at least half the cost for the repairs. That's only fair. If he's not willing to help after what happened (granted I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose, accidents happen) you may want to take another look at the relationship your in.
