Today, my college class was talking about Felix Baumgartner, who jumped from the edge of space down to earth. A boy suddenly put his head up and said in a serious tone, "I thought he jumped from the moon?" Several girls concurred. This is my generation. FML

Today, while teaching my high school class about astronomy, I showed them a picture of earth from space. One girl raised her hand, and asked me what the "white things" were. In other words, clouds. FML

Today, I got a call from my 8-year-old's 3rd grade teacher. Apparently a question went around class asking, "Why do you think you were put on this Earth?", and my son answered, "My dad says it's because I swam the fastest." FML

Today, my friend took me tandem skydiving. When it was time to jump, he began crying, said he'd cut our parachute cords, then said "Goodbye, cruel world!" and pushed me off the plane with him strapped to my back. I pissed myself and cried like a bitch. He thinks his "prank" was hilarious. FML

I didn't even know who that guy was until I read this FML, lol. You don't need to be aware of everything in the world to have intelligence. Though it really should be common sense that you can't jump from the moon down to earth without a lot of rocket fuel, this isn't nearly as bad as some of the stupid things I hear every day at my job, haha.

One day, they'll all get together and decide to go jump from the moon to the earth themselves. Someone will take them up there, leave them, and then they'll beginning trying to make that jump. They will soon after realize the error in their theory.
