Today, my crush was walking up to me and I put my earphones in, playing hard to get. When I heard him say something about a date I take an earphone out and say, "Oh, I didn't see you there!" His response, "They're not connected to anything," holds up the end of my earphones and walks away. FML

Today, I was walking to school with my earphones in, when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I was shocked, and whirled around to hit him in the crotch. I soon realized he was just trying to return the commuter pass I'd dropped at the station. FML

Today, I was alone with a work acquaintance at lunch. A noise came from his pocket; he whipped out his iPod Touch and said "Sorry, I have to take this," before walking away with the iPod to his ear. Not only did he not want to talk to me, he thought I was stupid enough to confuse an iPod with a phone. FML

Headphones just make you seem harder to approach, which actually decreases your chance of getting asked out.. Add in the fact that you're stupid enough to let it show that they're not plugged in to anything, and you have a pretty poor chance of dating anyone D:.

Erm hey next time you see him tell him the truth just say "you know I'm sorry for making a fool out of myself but in my defense your really amazing,(other nice stuff but not a lot to where you look desperate..)and I've had a crush on you for (however long) & I just wanted to play hard to get because I thought I would get you to notice me & look where it got me.*smile,turn around strongly and walk away..."if he dosen't stop you just keep walking with your head high... he'll probably be in shock & talk to you the next time he sees you & if nothing i'm saying helps then i'm sorry but i'm sure the 100% good thing that'll come out of this is that you will appear stronger & more independent! even for playing hard to get, that was stupid. there's a way to play hard to get that makes guys more interested an wanting to chase you more (i.e., by talking to them and THEN playing hard to get). there's a way to make yourself look like a dumb bitch, which you just did.
