Today, my daughter-in-law revealed to me that she caught my husband having an affair with her best friend. This was five years ago, and she is only telling me now because he stopped paying her the blackmail money to keep her mouth shut. FML

Wonder if you son knew about it and knew if his shitty wife was collecting money for it. If he did I'd disown my son. Seriously.

Pretty obvious what you gotta do now, catch his ass in a bear trap.

I don't know who's worse, your husband or your daughter-in-law

Have sex with him and see if he will take you back. If not, then thar really sucks for you ;) then he must REALLY hate you.

If he's been cheating for the past five years, I doubt she even wants him back.

Last time I checked, having an affair wasn't illegal, but blackmail was. Do whatever you want with your husband - it's your life and your decision, but make sure you report her to the cops and press charges. Alternatively, explain that to her, and tell her that if she doesn't 'see the error of her ways' and pay back every cent, she's going to jail.

Scratch that idea. Like I just said, it's not blackmail, it's a bribe. And it's not a crime, just scummy. Turn off Law & Order, dude.

I think you need to look up the definitions of both 'blackmail' and 'bribe', as you've completely misused them both. As for it not being a crime, refer to US Code Title 18 § 873. Also, just for reference, I don't watch Law & Order.

You married the cheater, you deserve it. Maybe next time you'll put effort into finding a decent guy

Actually, it's not "blackmail money," it's bribe money.

Actually it's blackmail cuz she's BLACKMAILING him. He's BRIBEING (sp?) her to keep her mouth shut.
