That's why I don't plaster Mother's Day statuses on Facebook. It's become pure sensationalism.
I wouldn't get so bent out of shape. Maybe it's not as genuine because she didn't write it herself, but she still took the time and found a nice phrase to describe how she feels. It's no different than if she had gotten you a Hallmark card.

I'm not even sure what my thoughts on this are. Since when did a simple Facebook status become an acceptable replacement for taking one's mom out for lunch, and giving a thoughtful gift? Even a phone call and a loving, written card is better than a Facebook status...
