Because the position the XBOX is in is the only way he can eject the disc all the way? The cords can't reach if it's facing any other direction? If it was placed elsewise, it could fall and break?

Cover it with a cardboard panel, that way you just lift it up and turn it on. If you don't want to do that you can always move it, or just go play with your ******* dog
