Today, my dog nearly died when my mom fed him chocolate. After finding out dogs are not supposed to eat chocolate, she promptly grounded me for not telling her. FML

@71 You're an idiot. If you feed a dog enough chocolate of course it'll die, like if you feed a human enough poison he could die too even if if it's weak. That being said, not everyone is knowledgeable about dogs and OP should have told his mother if he knew.

what the **** that's so not true. Your dog could only die from that if it eats 3-4 pounds. I should know. we were worried about my dog Angel after she ate a chocolate bar but she threw up and was fine. Before you post something like this, get your facts straight.

I think you need to follow your own advice. Did you know that large amounts of chocolate can poison people as well? 3-4 pounds of milk chocolate would poison a dog who is less than 120 pounds. Smaller dogs need only eat a fraction of that amount in order to become ill.
