Today, my dog nearly died when my mom fed him chocolate. After finding out dogs are not supposed to eat chocolate, she promptly grounded me for not telling her. FML

Ah man that hits close to home had people over today and my dog was in his cage some have him chocolate. I am pissed lucky his a fairly big dog and he will be ok , his just under the weather. :(

It's her dog too, shouldn't she have been aware herself? Besides, I thought that was common knowledge anyway. People who don't do research beforehand should not be allowed to own animals.

Thank you! This is one of the smartest comments I've seen on here. I've never understood why that's so difficult for people. If you want a pet, learn to take proper care of it first!!! That should be common sense.

Thank God your pup is okay. Just to be on the safe side, get on the net or call your vet and find out what not to feed your dog, so you'll be aware. Your Mom felt bad and had to place it on someone. I bet that's all.

Raw meat.... Not our processed foods. Herp-a-derp. The chemicals we put in our food is harmful to animals (and ourselves) long term.

Ya, because it's cheap. A dog really should be eating animals. Giving your dog a steak is more natural than the chicken flavored grain that is dog food. Any human food is fine for a dog, and if it isn't, it really should not be eaten by humans either...mcdonalds. Feeding dogs chocolate is similar to feeding humans peanuts. Some will be fine, but other will drop dead.

108 except all dogs are intolerant with chocolate. Some just will have a reduced life span other will drop dead. Peanuts aren't something all humans are allergic too.

Look, that REALLY sucks, it wasn't your fault whatsoever, but good thing its not worse case scenrio. Atleast the dogs okay, I mean, if the dog HAD died and she STILL grounded you, for not telling her, and blamed the dogs death on you, that'd have been horrible!
