Smart dog
At least he's loyal (:
My cat does that all the time when he sneaks out
Be happy, OP. You searched and got your dog back; far better then the alternative.
Next time just think about the story in Billy Madison... I have never known a dog to run away and not come back
Rule No 1. A dog never runs away from home Rule No 2. A dog always follow Rule No 1.
Gotta love dogs!
This is a common occurrence. Used to happen to me all the time.
If it ever gets out placing the dogs bed or its favorite toy outside may attract it back because it will recognize its scent.

Hey man, at least he came back!
