Sure your dog isn't a cat? My cat pulls that shit all the time.
My dog was a runner too when she catches a scent. Never walk without your phone and have your number on it's tag. Trust me. And get a good-quality dog whistle and train it.
My dog did a similar thing except it turned out that she was hiding in the house and didn't come out the first 100 times I called her, so we ended up looking around the neighborhood in case she had escaped. When she finally came out of hiding, I couldn't stay mad at her for long once I saw her goofy smooshed up face. Glad your dog came back in the end, OP.
The FYL or YDI depends on whether the dog was waiting inside the door or outside of it ...
Wish my dogs would've done that lol
I wish I had that beyond scared straight Picture of the lady
Been there done that.
How is this an FML? You got your dog back. So what, you lost five hours, better than losing your dog. I'd honestly be overjoyed not annoyed.
I understand the stress of having to look for a lost dog, OP. Funnily enough I had one that got out and after spending an hour looking for her I found her right by our back gate. Glad you found your dog too.
