You need too get in tune with your dog. He relies on you to take care of him. Show him lots of love and playtime. He'll be your best friend. Help him pull you out of it.
This reminds me of the friends episode when Joey takes care of phoebe's friend's dog...
Who the hell takes their dog to a shrink?
thats what you get :P get out and have fun
I didn't even know dogs could get depressed
Absolutely, animals experience a wide range of emotions. Depression is a tad "unnatural" though, it tells me that the dogs' needs aren't being met by the human guardian. Abandoned animals often fall into depressions where they aren't interested in food, stay at the back of their kennel run, refuse to make eye contact, etc. They lose the will to live.
They say if u do excise it helps with depression maybe you guys should go for walks everyday that's what me and my dog do :)) as soon. As I pull that leash out she is tugging at my shorts to get going
How do you know if the dog is depressed? Seriously?! Sleeps a lot, eats a lot & never smiles and then it gets depressed lol

Or you can cure each other. Make each other happy. Dogs feed off of your emotions.
Maybe you can help each other fight your depression.. Good luck, OP! I love dogs too and I find it sad that it was diagnosed with depression.
