Death is apart of life and the smell comes with it. FYL? I think not, your Neighbor's life got ******.

It does not take 3 days for a body to smell. My roommate had been dead for about 6 hrs. before i found him. He had already marbled and bloated. The stench was noticable from the barracks to the parking lot.

Oh that's horrible, when I lived with my parents a cat died right under my room. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever smelled

I get that all FML's start with "today". But that deffo did not happen today he's been dead there for a while!!! Sorry FYL. That's the worst smell. And more so, F your neighbors life. He obviously had a pretty shitty day recently.

Bodies don't start stinking until a couple days to a couple of weeks after it dies, so you have a mobster who fails at disposing of bodies.

I don't think Op is heartless for being grossed out by the smell of death. Are we supposed to ignore disgusting things just because they happen everyday. That is like the arguments people have when someone walks into the room while their parents have sex. It is not comfortable or wanted by most people, to see your parents have sex or smell the disgusting scent of someone being dead. Also, it would be creepy as **** because the person would have been decaying for days to weeks before the Op noticed it.
