Today, my English teacher used the word "interpretate" again. This isn't the only mistake she's made though; I've been so frustrated that I've started a list of them. It's over a page long. I'm meant to be learning things from this woman. FML

Today, I got back the essay I wrote about how my country's education system is fucked. At one point, I made a spelling mistake. My teacher wrote a note about it, basically calling me illiterate, and telling me to pay attention in school instead of whining about it. She misspelled "school". FML

'interpretate' is a perfectly cromulent word.

I once had a teacher tell us about how, “pon-ti-is pee-lot had like, totally conspired against Jesus with Jonas" needless to say we had her fired

Teachers that don't know the proper words are probably one of my biggest pet peeves. I don't know if it's worse than a student saying "presentated" as opposed to presented, though...

One of my college professors uses the word "irregardless" on a daily basis.

A friend of mine used to say he was going to take some meat out of the freezer to "de-thaw"....&that running warm water on said meat would "expediate" the "de-thawing".... Another friend would say "chancefull" & "darefull"....

Does your English teacher speak any other languages? I ask that because to French speaking people it doesn't sound strange at all. That is even a common mistake made by English learning student. I am an English teacher (as a foreign language) but my mother tongue is French. Sometimes I make that kind of mistakes in French. I use an English word and make it sound French. I know it's weird but when you can speak several languages, it is normal to mix them up sometimes. Try to get what you can from her. She certainly has a lot to teach you and just forget about her mistakes. Nobody's perfect ;)

I thought if i wrote youses would be thrown out it would be too obvious. I'm glad I got some bites.

You are learning things... What not to say if you're ever a teacher and how to get a teacher fired.

My English comp professor from a few years ago could not spell helmet. She spelled it "helmut" and then argued with the class when we tried to correct her.

It sounds rather painful to sit through. It also reminds me of my government teacher; we actually have enough little phrases and words that she over uses/misuses that we've created a bingo game.
