Nobody "deserves" respect, however they could have earned it with better singing

Yes, agreed. But with so much YDI's just for christmas caroling(on this fml and the last one with oranges), I feel like people view christmas carolers as "sub-human" and deserving to be treated like crap (some people will go as far as throwing oranges (someone commented throwing rocks), or joking about setting them on fire or shooting them with a shotgun. Christmas is dying, for me that is. Humanity amazes and scares me sometimes...

I truly am scared. With each generation getting older and new generations being born, they are getting worse and worse. It's breaking my heart. And I am truly embarrassed and ashamed of being in the generation that I was born in to. People my age and younger are the worst! So cruel, hateful, rude, and just obnoxious! I wish that humans would just respect each other and be kind to one another. And as for you, Mr. You-don't-get-respect!-You-earn-it, respect is to be given until you're given a reason not to. People like you are the reason kids are getting in to gangs and shooting up malls. And the reason the hard-working father gets laid off the week before Christmas just because you felt like being a dick that day. Basically, what I'm saying is that people like you are the cause of the downfall of humanity. Treat others as you want to be treated. They taught that in Pre-K! There is no need to be heartless! Merry Christmas to you anyway!

130 Just because thy have a different view on how respect is given they're the cause of all of this? Riiiight. It definitely wasn't the harmful households or environments. It definitely wasn't a single individual's bad judgement or peer pressure. Nope. It was this one individual with a different view on respect that did it all. Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm not saying that it was this one individual. I clearly said "people like you". And it's true. The downfall of humanity isn't happening because of one persons actions. It is happening because of many different people with the same attitude of this one individual. The golden rule is "treat others as you want to be treated", isn't it? That means, give respect until given a reason not to.

I actually go caroling with my family every year so I don't see your point. We however can actually sing and we don't go to Jewish homes out of respect. Let's not be irrational.
