Everyone who is saying "why would the kid have access to scissors" i could climb out of my cot by age 2 and if i could do that i could probably pull out a chair and get somthing off a bench or open a drawer by age 4. As could most of you. Im sure OP would have left the scissors in the childs cot or on the floor or somthing. There are sooo many variables so dont jump down mums throat just because she was sleeping when the kid was up or because she let her child find a way to some scissors..

Once when my sister and I were young, we almost cut my dad's hair. We had already cut our Barbies', our own, and stuffed animals' hair. He woke from a nap with two little girls looming over him with scissors.
