Why are there scissors they can reach?
Maybe you shouldn't leave scissors where 4-year-olds can reach them!! Seriously, you're lucky you didn't wake up missing an eye, a finger, or the tip or your ear. Or having one of those missing from your daughter. Or waking to your daughter's screams because she tried to do that to the dog and it protected itself with its teeth. Sorry about your hairdo. My hair is very long and I would be in tears in that situation, especially since I chop off twelve-inch-long pieces and donate them to Locks of Love, a company which give wigs to child cancer patients for free. Move ALL such potentially dangerous items it a child-proof drawer, pronto.
Your local hairdresser can fix it. In the meantime, might I recommend getting a box with a lock on it and stowing all sharp objects in there? ESPECIALLY if you have a sewing kit--my entire bedroom is firmly off-limits to my nephew because I have a sewing kit and crochet kit in there, both with some nice sharp things a toddler might hurt themselves with...
