Today, I learned the news about Queen Elizabeth in the most awkward way possible. My friend suddenly came into my house and shouted, "THE QUEEN IS DEAD!" It scared me so badly that I spit my drink out all over his clothes. Then I took another drink and spit it out again when I realized who he was referring to. FML

Today, I had to explain to a friend that the show writers for Glee did not write "Bohemian Rhapsody" and that Freddie Mercury did not steal the song from them. We're both 17 years old, and she reacted by kicking a chair at me. FML

Today, I saw a girl wearing a Nirvana shirt. Since Nirvana has been my favorite band for a long time, I tried striking up a conversation with her. Turns out she doesn't even listen to them, and only bought the shirt because she "liked the smiley face." FML

Today, my mom mentioned how she loves a certain actor's "British" accent. I couldn't help but mention that there's no such thing, and that there are lots of different accents in Britain. She got pissed and lectured me for "lying" to her and trying to make her feel stupid. FML

You cannot be serious with comparing Queen to Ke$ha. Ke$ha is mindless pop which, personally, makes me question how record companies can even consider signing these kind of people. Queen is a classic band who I'm sure most people would choose over Ke$ha any day. Clearly, you are one of those people who doesn't appreciate the classics.

At least songs back in the day were all written in the mind of a creative band member. Now they're written by 6 or 7 songwriters for hours until the singer ***** it up in the end (I'm looking at you Rihanna!)
