Hands down it's, Freddy. Why ask such silly questions!!! There is no other answer! Now asking her which is her favorite "Queen" song, would be a better question. Mine is "Who wants to Live Forever" (I still cry to this day during "HighLander") My second would be "Under Pressure" (:
"These Are The Days Of Our Lives" is mine. Freddie died shortly after the song was released, and his whispered "I still love you" at the end of the music video is his last video footage recorded before his death. When you listen to the song, it's like he's whispering goodbye. Gets me every time.
My personal favorite Queen song is Nevermore from Queen II, hugely overrated song.
Ran out of edit time, Nevermore is a hugely underrated song.
I like "Somebody to Love" the best. It's just a very creative song and Freddie voice sounds just other-worldly in it.
People don't know real music nowadays.. Whata shame.
"Like omg I think One Direction is the bestest band of all time!!!111"
In 30 years from now Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, LMAO, and the rest of the ear candy music will be part of Classilc Rock/Pop
Your username says it all
I meant it as a bad way but prove my theory it's going to happen, Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. Plus our grandparents thought that The Who, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Ramones and so on suck and wasn't music.
Then our classic rock will be golden oldies! :(
This could be true, but I doubt it. You have to remember that there is a difference between a band/artist with genuine longevity and a passing fad. Back in the days of "classic rock" the fad music young girls liked to listen to have all but faded into obscurity. Can you name any kids' pop acts from the 70s that people call real music nowadays? Names like Donny Osmond, Bobby Sherman, David and Shaun Cassidy mean very little to a rock audience nowadays and they will always be associated with Cheesy tween pop, kind of like, ooh, Justin Bieber is nowadays? Same goes for people like Madonna. Yes, she was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame but it is very hard to deny that she has, in the past, made some groundbreaking music. I think that in the future nobody would care about Justin Bieber but people like Lady Gaga MAY have some longevity. Just think about what was big from your own childhood - for me, growing up, everybody was listening to Aqua, S Club 7 and the Vengaboys, but where are they now? Sorry for the essay, I just feel this was a point that needed to be made.
I'm trying soo hard to steer my children in the right direction. I love Queen, I listen to them amongst others in the car on my way to dropping them off at school every morning. They kick and scream to put on Justin Bieber and other bubble gum crap. I don't give a shit it's my car. One day they will thank me.
My mom did the exact same thing to me in the car when I was younger! She played Queen, David Bowie, Genesis, The Rolling Stones and more. I may not have tolerated them as a child but I've grown up enough to appreciate them and call them some of my favorite bands. Keep doing what you're doing!
You, sir, remind me of my recently deceased dad. You see, he played so much rock music in his truck when I was around that I began to enjoy it. However, this was when I was 8 years old, didn't know the names of rock songs or who sang them, and I was loving the crappier side of country music. (I was the biggest fan of Big & Rich until 7th grade) Pretty soon after 7th grade, I started asking questions to my dad about rock music. I knew who Queen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and Korn were, but I wanted to know more bands and what songs were being sung on the radio. With my dad and help from some friends and radio, I became the person I am today. I love hard rock, metal, and classic rock like you wouldn't believe. Yes, I complain about pop music, but doesn't everyone? And if you look at my profile pic and username, you'd know one of my favorite bands of all. I'm only 16 and fixing to enter my junior year of high school, but even though my dad's been dead since March, I can't thank him enough for what he's done to me. So yes, you push your children, and see where it gets you. :)
Hahahaha musically oblivious teenager!!!!
Oh this makes me resent most of my generation...
I don't want to live on this planet anymore...
